Turning Japanese - Digital Collage Illustration

I'm a sucker for collection illustrations so was inspired to create this one myself.  First I created a set of cohesive digital art papers that could be "cut and pasted" like analog collage. That process alone was fun to just experiment and play around with different brushes, shapes and colors.  The fun continued with pulling them together for placement. A distinctly Asian vibe was born during the process so I built the design upon that and came up with a simple set of table ware. The clean lines and shapes of this type of pottery definitely lends itself to me being more wild and experimental with the materials uses to fill in those shapes.
