Succulent Plant - Digital Collage Illustration
The inspiration for this design came from a lovely photograph that a friend shared with me. The bloom was found in the garden on the anniversary of her mom's passing. She graciously allowed me to use it as a foundation for this design. I wanted to do something different, something not so traditional. Deciding on a color scheme brought me to a crossroads and that's why the final design remains so colorful and complex. Maybe it's not so true to life for a rose but, symbolically, it's very true to the layers of a person. Highs and lows, bright times and blue times. This will remain a special piece to me for the inspiration behind it. -xx
