Mandala - Butterfly
This digital illustration is an original mandala featuring the monarch butterfly. I took artistic freedom with the lines, shapes and markings of butterfly wings and built the mandala out from there. It was an interesting experiment to look at the wings as individual elements and then bring them together thru the mirroring effect of the mandala process, as it kind of recreated the shape of a butterfly. There's also another little friend mirrored throughout the design, can you find him?
