Into the Deep - Digital Collage Illustration

I've always loved watching fish swim around in a tank or aquarium. I love their funky shapes and sizes, and there's something very peaceful and relaxing about how they glide thru water. I wanted to do a piece where I could use my digital collage technique to capture a colorful group of fish in the darkened depths of the water. These colorful guys are full of handmade textures and photography. The large blue fish at the top borrowed his gills from a portabella mushroom.
