Delicious Fruits - Digital Collage Illustration

This is a fun set of brightly colored fruits digitally textured with my own photos of dropcloth fabric and coffee grounds (which I think worked perfectly for the banana!) Using custom textures in my illustrations really gives them a life of their own. I make artistic choices in the moment as things develop during the design process. Food is one of my most favorite things to illustrate. I think artists can all connect to its appeal and find ways to put their own spin on it. My spin is funky grunge but still yummy.
